FAQ

ONLINE SHOP & Atelier

The Atelier
Do you produce everything in Vienna?

Yes. Every AGUVAZI piece is designed, prototyped, and handcrafted in the Vienna atelier. The entire process — from first sketch to final stitch — happens locally.

Can I visit the Atelier?

On selected exclusive “Open Atelier” or Workshop days, based on pre-registration, the Atelier opens its doors. These are rare, intimate moments where you can experience the craftsmanship behind AGUVAZI. Dates are announced individually, for udates, follow @aguvazifashion on Instagram and check the Calendar.

Do you offer tailor‑made (made-to-measure) pieces?

Yes — exclusively in the CELEBRATE line: couture pieces can be individually and carefully tailored to your measurements. Available in person, in the viennese AGUVAZI Atelier, upon pre-arrangement. If actual, feel free to contact us. The package includes pre-alignment, measurement, 2-3 design individual sketches to choose, individual pattern making, cutting, modelling and sewing with 2-3 fitting sessions (up to model) and the necessary adjustments.

What is a “Prototype Sample”? Can Prototype Samples be purchased?

An AGUVAZI Prototype Sample is the very first physical version of a design — the Atelier Original, based on which the ready‑to‑order garments are created. Each design begins as a unique handcrafted prototype. Selected items are available for purchase online. These pieces are unique, as they are the artisanal originals usually pictured on Photo Shootings and Fashion Shows.

Are all ready‑to‑order pieces made in standard sizes? Are all pieces made-to-order?

Yes. Ready‑to‑order items are available only in confection sizes. Check the SIZE Chart to find your proper AGUVAZI item.

Are ready‑to‑order pieces mass‑produced?

No. Ready‑to‑order pieces are handcrafted individually (in the colour and confections size) after an order is placed. Items remain strictly limited, and exclusiv. No mass production (over 10-20 items from the same model) is planned.

What does “ready‑to‑order” or “made to order” mean?

Ready‑to‑order pieces are refined versions of the original prototype, produced individually in standard sizes once an order is placed. They are not pre‑made, not mass‑produced, and not tailored — they are handcrafted one by one in the atelier, based on the prototype design. This means:
The design already exists (the prototype).
The pattern is finalized.
The piece is made only after you order it.
It is produced in confection sizes (e.g., 34–44).
It is not custom‑sized or altered.
It is still very limitenot a one‑of‑a‑kind piece (that’s the prototype).
It is not couture (that’s CELEBRATE).

Are all ready‑to‑order pieces made in standard sizes?

Yes. Ready‑to‑order items are available only in confection sizes. Check the SIZE Chart to find your fitting AGUVAZI item.

Are all pieces made-to-order?

No. AGUVAZI offers three different types of pieces:
Prototypes — unique originals that exist only once and can be purchased online.
Ready‑to‑order pieces — handcrafted individually after an order is placed, produced in standard confection sizes, and available only in very limited quantities.
Tailor‑made couture — available exclusively in the CELEBRATE line and created to your measurements.
Ready‑to‑order pieces are not mass‑produced and not tailor‑made. They are produced only when ordered, in limited quantities, based on the original atelier prototype.

Do you ship internationally?

Which AGUVAZI pieces can be adjusted?

Minor adjustments can be made to ready‑to‑order pieces (for example: length, small fit corrections). These services are always charged separately.

Can I bring non‑AGUVAZI garments for alterations?

No. Even in the CELEBRATE line, all tailoring and fitting work is billed individually, depending on the complexity of the piece.

Do you offer sewing workshops?

Yes. AGUVAZI hosts exclusive, small‑group workshops focused on craftsmanship, pattern understanding, and mindful making. These sessions are rare and announced individually.

What is the Nähcafé?

The Nähcafé is an open creative space inside the atelier where you can work on your own small projects, receive guidance, and enjoy the atmosphere of a professional fashion studio. It is offered only on selected dates.

🌱 Materials & philosophy of sustainability
Which fabrics do you use?

We focus on working mainly with natural, GOTS‑certified, or recycled fabrics sourced from responsible European suppliers. Every material is chosen for longevity, comfort, and environmental integrity.

Is your production sustainable?

Yes. We produce in small quantities, avoid overstock, use certified fabrics, and craft each piece with long‑lasting quality in mind.

Why do you produce exclusively in Vienna?

Local production reduces transport emissions, supports regional craftsmanship, and allows full control over quality and working conditions. Every AGUVAZI piece is created in the Vienna Atelier — from prototype to final stitch.

How do you reduce environmental impact?

We avoid unnecessary travel, source materials from European suppliers, and produce only in small quantities. Ready‑to‑order pieces are handcrafted individually and limited to a maximum of 50 items per design, preventing overproduction.

Why do you ship only within the EU?

EU‑only shipping keeps transport routes relatively short and reduces the ecological footprint. It aligns with our slow‑fashion philosophy and commitment to responsible logistics.
